England legend Alan Shearer has advised Gareth Southgate to replace Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka. With Anthony Gordon and Cole Palmer for the football game against Switzerland.

The Three Lions are set to enter the quarter-finals on Saturday. With the team yet to impress in their last four games in the tournament, particularly in attack. Where Shearer would prefer to see Gordon and Palmer play ahead of Foden and Saka. UFABET

“I see what Gareth Southgate is trying to do but I think it would be better if we could make a change on the left. So I’d like to see Anthony Gordon there because I don’t think Phil Foden would work.” Shearer told Betfair.

“I understand they are unbalanced because Kieran Trippier has to play left-back. He will have to change again because Guehi is suspended – whether he (Southgate) thinks it’s right to change the system we don’t know. I would be surprised if he did.”

“I think Phil Foden has been unlucky. He doesn’t look comfortable with the system that England play. The left side doesn’t look good. We didn’t look good in defence on that side. His game is he wants to cut inside with someone. It’s difficult for England with a player like Trippier who isn’t left-footed, so it’s unfortunate.”

“But it has to change because they didn’t play well. I know they will win and go through, but that’s because they were lucky.”

For the starting eleven that Shearer has selected for the game against Switzerland, in the same 4-2-3-1 formation, there is Pickford, Walker, Stones, Konsa, Trippier, Rice, Menu, Palmer, Bellingham, Gordon and Kane.
