Juliet’s Corner: Uni the Unicorn (Uni the Unicorn #1) by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, Brigette Barrager (Illustrator)

The last Juliet’s Corner of September and we end with

UNICORNS

The book this week is

Uni the Unicorn by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, Brigette Barrager (Illustrator)

Synopsis:

In this clever twist on the age-old belief that there’s no such thing as unicorns, Uni the unicorn is told there’s no such thing as little girls! No matter what the grown-up unicorns say, Uni believes that little girls are real. Somewhere there must be a smart, strong, wonderful, magical little girl waiting to be best friends. In fact, far away (but not too far), a real little girl believes there is a unicorn waiting for her. This refreshing and sweet story of friendship reminds believers and nonbelievers alike that sometimes wishes really can come true

Juliet’s Q+A

Me: Why do you like unicorns so much?

Juliet: Because they’re my favorite animal.

Me: I thought kittens and puppies were your favorite.

Juliet: …They’re my second favorite.

Me: What was this book about?

Juliet: Meeting a new friend.

Me: Would you want a unicorn for a friend?

Julet: Yeah.

Me: Do you think it’d be a good friend?

Juliet: Yeah.

Me: What was the conflict in the story?

Juliet: The other unicorns didn’t believe little girls existed.

Me: So, was the conflicted resolved in the end?

Juliet: Yeah!

Me: What would you rate the book?

Juliet holds up ten fingers

Me: Wow, big rating. Thanks for your time!

Juliet: You’re welcome 😀
