Sunday Musings/End of Reading Rush

I’m spending this Sunday cleaning and washing me and my daughter’s hair *OMINOUS MUSIC PLAYS* and getting ready for probably another busy week.

I’m leaving my job at the bakery this week and my last day is Saturday. I’ve been there since February and it’s been interesting. I learned a lot about cakes and pastries and customer service. People really get intense about cakes.

Anyways, I didn’t finish my goal of the reading rush but I read four books so I think I did pretty damn good considering ๐Ÿ™‚ Earned a slew of badges too.’

  1. Read a book with purple on the cover โ€“ Lock Every Door by Riley Sager
  2. Read a book in the same spot the entire time โ€“ The Widow of Pale Harbor by Hester Fox
  3. Read a book you meant to read last yearโ€“ ???
  4. Read an authorโ€™s first book โ€“ Donโ€™t Date Rosa Santos by Nina Moreno
  5. Read a book with a non-human main character โ€“ InuYasha: Turning Back Time by Rumiko Takahashi Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker and Wendy Xu
  6. Pick a book that has five or more words in the title โ€“ The Particular Charm of Miss Jane Austen by Ada Bright
  7. Read and watch a book to movie adaption โ€“ The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris
  8. BONUS โ€“ Read 7 books

All in all pretty good! Especially with everything going on and for my first challenge. How did you guys make out? Any other fun challenges going on?

Happy Sunday! Happy weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Yeah, that’s awesome, Amanda! I also only managed to read four books and ended up using one of the books for three prompts but I was OK with that lol I think this one week really tested my mood reading patience! I’m glad that I joined though ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you had a lovely Sunday (hair washing and all)!

      1. Thanks! I’m proud of both of us – from joining super last minute to doing pretty awesome with it ๐Ÿ˜‰Also, yes, I did. A lot of reading and “me” time. The weekend always goes too quickly though! Lol
