Thursday Discussion: Books Or Series That’d Make Great TV Series

Think Netflix or Hulu and make it SHIMMER.

Of course as we read we imagine some of our favorite books making it to the screen played by one of our favorite actors and/or actresses. Thanks kindly to @ Ally Writes Things for this prompt 🙂

The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

This book is a trippy mindfuck and I loved every moment of it. It’s perfect for a netflix miniseries. Body swaps and a classic whodunnit. It’s like a scifi fantasy historical murder mystery all in one. Transfers that to one of the streaming networks and I’ll be there wine glass in hand.

Into The Drowning Deep by Mira Grant

I keep talking about this book I know but this was legit one of my top faves of this year. Exploration of the vast sea and the discovery of mermaids. Did I mention that these mermaids are uh, killer mermaids? The cast in this book is vast and could each have their own episodes alone.

And also,

killer. mermaids.

Cruel Works of Nature by Gemma Amor

This was a horror anthology that still sticks with me. A miniseries would do it justice. Gemma Amor is an indie horror writer who weaves a story into unimaginable terrors something that we need to see more of.

Fear Street by R.L. Stine

Apparently we’re getting a movie adaption?! I have been DYING for a series of this though since I was young. Fear Street shaped my youth and was what made me want to become an author. It thrust me into reading more and more when I was younger. I want this. I crave this. Please!!!

Lmao I just realized I picked mainly horror. Of course 😭

Those were my picks 🙂 What are yours?!
